Warp Cycling (“the app”) is an indoor cycling app built by an individual developer. This page describes what data the app collects, why, and how you can remove it.
Ride history, settings, and vitals are stored on your own device first. You can ride, track history, and use every free feature without ever signing in. Nothing leaves your device unless you create an account.
Sign-in is handled by Clerk, a third-party authentication provider. Depending on the method you choose, we receive your email address, or your name and a unique ID from Apple or Google — never your password. Once signed in, your ride history (heart rate data, zone breakdowns, timestamps, and workout details) is backed up to our database so it survives a lost or replaced device.
Heart rate comes from a Bluetooth strap or your Apple Watch, streamed directly to the app during a ride. On iOS, finished rides are written to Apple Health automatically — this uses Apple’s HealthKit and is governed by Apple’s own privacy controls; you can revoke access at any time in the Health app’s Sharing settings. We never sell or share heart rate or health data with advertisers or data brokers.
Connecting Apple Music (Pro) uses Apple’s MusicKit to authorize playback and read your library playlists directly from your device. We do not receive or store your Apple Music library, listening history, or account details — playback is controlled entirely on-device.
Tapping “Share this ride” renders a summary image entirely on your device and hands it to your phone’s own share sheet — we never upload, see, or store that image or where you send it. You choose the destination (Messages, Instagram, Reddit, wherever) the same way you would for any photo on your device.
On iOS, Pro subscriptions are billed entirely through Apple’s App Store (StoreKit) — we never see your card details. On the web, subscriptions are billed through Stripe, which handles your payment details directly; we only receive your subscription status.
We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous, aggregate page-view counts on the web app. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t track you individually across sites.
You can delete any ride, or your entire history, from Performance Lab → History → Manage at any time — this is permanent and immediate. To delete your account and every record tied to it, use Settings → Performance Lab → Delete account in the iOS app, or email tsferro2@gmail.com and we’ll remove it.
Warp Cycling requires you to be 18 or older to use it (see our Terms of Service) and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, email tsferro2@gmail.com and we’ll delete it.
Questions about this policy or your data: tsferro2@gmail.com.
